The Village of Reeseville Fire Department was organized March 7,1892 in Moores Hall. The
Fire Department currently has a membership of 25 and is
strictly a Volunteer Department. Anyone interested in becoming a fireman should contact Fire
Chief Dale Beal. The Fire Department covers the Village of Reeseville and the surrounding townships of Lowell, Portland,
Shields and Elba.
Fire department meetings are held the first Monday of each month.
There is also a training session held the third Monday
of each month.
On the second Saturday of August the firemen and volunteers provide a free corn roast
held at the Fireman's Park. This is open to the
public and everyone is invited to attend. There is
Free Sweet Corn, a Chicken Dinner, Brats,
Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, Soda, a Large Beer
Stand, Raffles, and lots of games for the kids.
Several years there have also been Fire Works.
On the Second Sunday of October, watch the firemen display their equipment and cook a hearty breakfast.
The breakfast consists of Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes,
Sausage, Hash Brown Potatoes, Homemade Muffins, Juice
and Coffee. Each event provides funds for
equipment and training for the coming year.
Stop by and support the fire department and the village.
New to the department is a six wheel ATV to be used for
Fire and Rescue.

The Village of Reeseville Fire Department also has a Fire Department Auxiliary. It was first established in 1993.
The Auxiliary assists the firemen in whatever capacity they can, including providing food and refreshments at fires.
The Auxiliary provides the meal at the Annual Fire meeting held the first Monday of March. The Auxiliary also works
at several of the stands at the Annual Corn Roast in August, and helps at the pancake breakfast in the fall.
